I grabbed my suitcase and everything I needed and I drove to California in 2 ½ days. I didn’t know anybody and had one friend that I knew for a month total because he was visiting Florida. I thought it would be nice to check out LA since I had never been. I had just turned 19 and thought it was time to live it up”.
